Burberry Spring 2012 Menswear Collection

The men's spring 2012 Burberry collection is all about ease. There is crocheting, stitching, embroidery and handblock prints. This spring collection has an ethic feel to it with the geometric shapes around the neckline being suggestive of Native American dress. Block prints gave a textured to tops and sweaters. There were circular patterns on tee shirts to suggest ancient art. Burberry also showed love to Scotland with most of the outfits being topped with a hand crocheted raffia golfing hat topped with a pom pom. The models wore cork soled moccasins and loafers. The color palate was very earthy garnet, indigo and beet.

Mens Fall Trend Alert: Corduroy

Men are in for a nice treat this Fall, Corduroy is Back and is being shown on more then just pants this year. Corduroy has a more dressier and crisper feel this season in the form of structured slim pants, and form fitting blazers. Men will be able to wear corduroy during the day to work without looking to casual and also at night . The cords are small which give the corduroy a finer more modern look. Designers are showing cords in rich brown, navy, black, and military green. Try pairing the pants with a cashmere sweater, a crisp button down, or a cardigan. Gucci made a wide variety of corduroy for Fall in different cuts of slim pants. Ralph Lauren and Dolce and Gabbana have created both great looking pants and blazers. Blazers are being shown in both tailored and modern fits. Men will be able to wear blazers to work as well as out to dinner. The corduroy blazer works perfect with a pair of dark rise denim on the weekend. The only rule to wearing corduroy is to never pair a corduroy blazer with a pair of corduroy pants.
