Heiress Aerin Lauder Starts A Lifestyle Brand

Estee Lauder Heiress Aerin Lauder has decided to start her own lifestyle brand, named Aerin. The granddaughter of the popular cosmetics brand, is launching her own brand that will include accessories, eyewear, home products and a beauty line that will hit Estee Lauder counters early 2012. Lauder will continue to remain as creative consultant and also as style and image director at Estee Lauder. Cant wait to see this new line. I am sure it will do as well as the iconic line she was born into.

Peview MAC Quite Cute Collection

Mac will be launching a new collection on April 7 that is full of pastel shades for the lips, cheeks and nails. This new collection has a real Tokyo feel and influence to it. The collection will retail for $13 to $32. I can not wait until it comes out because I am in love with this colors. Hopefully MAC will send me a few products early to test and review.

Illamasqua Toxic Nail Polish Collection

Edgy British brand Illamasqua is launching a new vivid nail polish collection called "Toxic Nature" which includes five shades. Jennifer Lopez Is Back On The Block With A New Ad Campaigan

Jenny is on her comeback with her new spot on American Idol, a new cd on the way and now L'Oreal Paris just named her global ambassador. In the new ad Lopez is wearing the new Infallible Le Rouge longwear lipstick with a smoky eye. I wonder if she is working so much now since her husband owes Uncle Sam money and she is going to pay it off for him.

MAC Cosmetics and Mickey Contractor Launch Collection For Middle Eastern Skintones

MAC's Director of Artistry for India designed a collection of yellow based foundations and concealers to match Indian skin tones. The collection features teal, bright fuchsia, plums,and neutrals that will complement the tones perfectly. It also includes lipstick, lipglasses, eyeshadow pots, and the popular fluidline gel eyeliner. The collection was inspired from the problems of discoloration and pigmentation around the mouth and eyes of Indian women. "Outside of India, they'll also work beautifully on Hispanic, Mediterranean and Middle Eastern skins, which can also have similar issues with pigmentation," says Contractor, who says that previous to the collection, he has had trouble with skin makeup appearing gray on yellow skin tone clients. The line carries Indian names like Viva(marriage), Jaan(my life) and Athma (soul). The new collection is now available nationwide at all MAC counters and retail starting at $14.50 to $36. Even with the over 100 shades MAC offer I am glad to see they have made more options for all brown skinned girls everywhere.

For the upcoming spring Mac has made an denim inspired makeup collection. On March 3 the Denim Dream line will launch in stores. The collection features, lip glasses, nail polishes, lipstick, blush, brow maker, eye liner and eyeshadow. Estee Lauder Goes Global

Estee Lauder have announced Joan Smalls 21, a African American and Puerto Rican model as their new spokesmodel for their cosmetic and skincare line. Smalls will be the first model from Puerto Rico for Estee Lauder. Joan came from Puerto Rico and started modeling in New York in 2007 to make a better living for her family. She is now signed to IMG Models and have walked in shows such as Tom Ford, Marc Jacobs, Gucci, Prada and a list of others. I love seeing a woman of color making a name for herself in the hard to break in high fashion world. She is definitely a model to keep your eye on.
