Chanel Turns Blue with their Resort Collection

Yes it is that time of year again to think about getting away from the cold weather and going to a place where the sun is always shinning. The designers are getting ready to deliver their Resort Collections to stores. So Chanel has made the perfect makeup and nail polish to go with the perfect clothes and tan. The French luxury design house is debuting an icy pale blue nail lacquer called Riva in their Cote D'Azur 2010 Cruise Collection. Which was inspired by the chic Saint Tropez destination where all the Jones go and also where Chanel cruise collection fashion show was held last spring. Lip colors are also available in this collection, and come in a sun ready pink, nude and a coral orange shade. Le Nail Colour in Rive $27 and Rouge Coco Hydrating Lip Colour$30 are available for a limited time starting in December at Chanel.com, Chanel makeup studios and boutiques. If Riva catch on the way their black or jade colors have then you should get to the nearest counter now.

Chanel Spring 2011

Karl Lagerfeld out did himself again for the stunning spring 2011 collection for Chanel. Through Lagerfeld mainly focused on black for the collection, there was lots of texture by the way of sheer fabric, feathers, lace, and light ruching. Mint green and soft pink worked their way into the suiting and a bold raspberry was sprinkled into the prints. Footwear was hefty with chunky heels and platform soles in black and khaki booties.

Coco passed in 1971 and Karl Lagerfeld took over as chief designer of the fashion house in 1983. So the next time you put on that sexy little black dress remember who 1st made it.
