Tyler Perry outdid his own self this weekend. Why Did I Get Married Too? raked in $30.1 million its opening weekend. And that’s triple his opening weekend numbers for the first installment of Why Did I Get Married?
With lots more drama (and lots more heartache) than the first movie, folks were having mixed reactions on Twitter and Facebook about it. But overall, the actors did great, Janet went Elin Woods on some asses, and the ending definitely left the door open for a part 3.
His next box office picture will be For Colored Girls (with an all star cast) in January. Congrats to Tyler!
