Earlier this week I told you about the possibility of Wyclef running for president of Haiti. Well the New York post is claiming that it is official! His reps say he has submitted paperwork and other sources say he'll make his official announcement within the next 2 weeks!
Dame Dash Auction
Poor, poor Dame Dash! His New York City loft is on the auction block. He bought it in "04" for $3.875 million and eventually became unable to make the....get this 78 thousand a month mortgage payments. He tried to sell it for $7.9 million but that was an epic fail; so it was foreclosed and went to auction yesterday! Damn.

Speaking of money issues! Chris Tucker will be starring in Money Talks 2 and get this...his co-star this time will be the I, the R, and the S. A woman, who lives in the Netherlands, is claiming that she is the love child of Michael Jackson and Diana Ross! She says that when she was 9 years old, Katherine Jackson had her abducted by 7 people (who all were later murdered) and taken to Belgium! Now she’s come forward so that she can get her deserved inheritance and oh yeah, take care of her brothers and sisters! Sounds a bit like a fantasy…

Oh Lebron! The recent move by the Miami Heat confirms that we will someday soon have that good ole basketball back with all due respect to the Lakers-Celtics 7 game series. This move reminds me of the days when it was Johnson, Worthy, and Jabbar vs. Bird, Parrish, and McHale, or Thomas, Dumars, and Lambeer. Well now we have Bryant, Gasol, Bynum, and Pierce, Allen, Garnett, and ultimately, Wade, Bosh, and James! Do expect this to become “protocol” to win an NBA title. As for many more teams have and will be stacking their rosters with stars.
I believe that this Miami team will be explosive as intended. Anything less than an NBA championship title will be uncivilized. 72-10 anybody?. Well with Wade at the 1 and Lebron at the 2 or vice versa even, or Mario Chalmers at the 1, Wade at the 2, and Bron at the 3… Wow! Not to mention that I didn’t mention Bosh, who can live at the 4 or 5. Zone defense will be a must against this team. That’s 3 players on the court that commands a double team. Just imagine those guys on a fast break, the defender back peadaling… Wade can take it to the hole or throw it up and you know Bron. Bron is going to get it… or dish it back to a trailing Chris Bosh who will definitely finish at the rim… again, wow! Or how about Wade at the 3-point line, Bosh setting the pick, and Lebron in the passing lane. And if you collapse on them, don’t forget that Chalmers can knock down the shot. I bet that they lead the league in alley-oops. And they’re all young! Scary! Hey, what if Pat Riley returns to the sidelines and it ends up being the Lakers vs. Heat in the finals? Riley vs. Jackson! Epic! Gasol on Bosh, Ron-Ron on Bron-Bron, and Kobe on Wade… wow!
Also, beware of the Bulls. Boozer will fit in well because they’re similar to Utah in many ways. A nice guard surrounded by the shooters. With the addiction of Korrer and Rose should be able to shine brighter. The Bulls led the league in the rebounds last season and I’m sure they will again with Boozer and Noah.
Boston is the team of bad knees! With J. O’neal joining the squad, it adds another big man but his knees are always questionable. So is Garnett’s and now Perkins. But still expect them to do well in the east.
The Knicks are injury prone as well. Not only are their spirits injured from not getting The King, but Amare’s an injury threat as well as Turiaf and Randolph. If they can stay healthy, then expect Amare and Randolph to be beasts in the paint. Raymond Felton is no Steve Nash but he’s a solid point guard. He should do well with Stoudemire. I’m not sure about Orlando in the east this upcoming season. I mean Duhon isn’t exactly a good move but it has potential.
As for the West, Minnesota is stacked now with Beasley, Jefferson, Love, and Milicic. Golden State looks good with Curry and Lee. Though I’m not sure if we can expect Lee to brab all these boards in the west. Too many big men. As for the east is full of guards.
I can’t wait to see how teams stack up next season when those other big name players hit the market. Maybe Melo and Tony Parker to the Knicks? Or Chris Paul and Derrin Williams to the Lakers? They’re gonna have to do something! Good ole basketball.

Re-Segregating Schools In North Carolina?
RALEIGH, N.C. – Protesters and police scuffled Tuesday at a school board meeting in North Carolina over claims that a new busing system would resegregate schools, roiling racial tensions reminiscent of the 1960s.
Nineteen people were arrested, including the head of state NAACP chapter who was banned from the meeting after a trespassing arrest at a June school board gathering.
"We know that our cause is right," the Rev. William Barber said shortly before police put plastic handcuffs on his wrists before the meeting started.
Inside, more than a dozen demonstrators disrupted the meeting by gathering around a podium, chanting and singing against the board's policies.
After several minutes, Raleigh police intervened and asked them to leave. When they refused, the officers grabbed arms and tried to arrest the protesters. One child was caught in the pushing and shoving, as was school board member Keith Sutton, who was nearly arrested before authorities realized who he was.
"Hey, hey, ho, ho, resegregation has got to go," some protesters chanted.
Sutton said he went into the crowd to try and calm things down and encourage officers not to use such strong force. He said he felt insulted that he almost got arrested and believes the officer who tried to detain him owes him an apology.
"I'm just real dismayed and disappointed," Sutton said.
The Wake County School Board has voted multiple times over the last several months to scrap the district's diversity policy, which distributed students based on socioeconomics and for years had been a model for other districts looking to balance diversity in schools. Several school board members elected last year have built a majority in favor of focusing on neighborhood schools.
The board's chairman, Ron Margiotta, said the panel would not be distracted in its effort to "provide choice and increased stability for families."
"This board does not intend to create high poverty or low-performing schools," he said to scoffs from the crowd.
At a morning rally that drew 1,000 people, speakers quoted Martin Luther King Jr., remembered the days of segregated water fountains and likened the current situation to the landmark Brown v. Board of Education battle. Barber talked about America's legacy of racial strife to galvanize the crowd.
"Too many prayers were prayed," Barber said. "Too many lives were sacrificed. Too much blood was shed. Too many tears were shed. We can't turn back now."
Barber's supporters believe the new policy will resegregate schools. They carried signs that read: "Segregate equals hate" and "History is not a mystery. Separate is always unequal."
George Ramsay, a white former student body president of Enloe High School, said it was necessary to keep the diversity policy in place to prepare students for an increasingly connected world.
"It is shortsighted to ignore the way students like me have been enriched by diversity," Ramsay said.

George Ramsay, a white former student body president of Enloe High School, said it was necessary to keep the diversity policy in place to prepare students for an increasingly connected world.
"It is shortsighted to ignore the way students like me have been enriched by diversity," Ramsay said.

Ice-To was arrested in NYC yesterday by a “punk b***h rookie,” according to his wife Coco’s Twitter page. Apparently, Coco and Ice-T were riding and got pulled over for allegedly not wearing their seat belts. It was then determined that Ice-T was driving on a suspended license, so they took him into custody, processed and then released him. Ice-T jumped on Twitter and proclaimed that he’s innocent!

First I want to thank God for the trials of life, without them we can’t know purpose!

I would love to tell the truth as to why my relationship wasn’t successful, but today that is between me and Christina. Its easy to say that it’s because of another woman or a new relationship but truthfully, IT’S NOT.

I take FULL RESPONSIBILITY for misleading everyone into thinking everything was fine and okay when we knew problems existed for awhile! I wanted to speak up but we decided it wasn’t for anyone to know. I would NEVER intentionally hurt a soul and everyone around me knows that! There was so much going on in me and Christina’s personal world that I tried to deal with it as delicately as I could and tried to regain my footing. Instead of being direct in order not to cause even more hurt or hurt someone’s feelings, I carried the weight in secret!

I am Human and people fall in and out of Love all the time… This is Life. Nothing’s promised or perfect, neither am I. I am not proud that I lost something we once had…LOVE! I’ve always been a Loving Father, Hard Worker, Generous, Stern and Eager to prove myself. My faults are I can be irresponsible and an ass sometimes, but I HAVE NEVER and WILL NEVER be a malicious person or wish harm to anyone, especially those I love or the mother of my child. I’m sorry for the embarrassment to everyone involved! If there’s anyone to blame and you can’t fathom this happening, please blame me and me alone for not being upfront! Even though we were trying to overcome personal things between us, I was just simply scared and embarrassed to let everyone know we WERE FAILING and HAVE NOW FAILED!

Well I told you yesterday that pictures surfaced of The Dream all boo-ed up with his assistant and that his rep issued a statement saying they had been separated since late 2009. Well now clues have surfaced on Christina’s Twitter page that make a different statement! On June 29th, 2010, Milian asked followers to support Dream's new CD, Love King, saying, "Support my boo!" Did Michael Jackson Want To Duet With Bubbles?
Michael Jackson’s sister, LaToya Jackson, says MJ wanted doctors to operate on his monkey Bubbles' vocal cords so he could talk. She says Michael even spent big lots of money trying to get Bubbs to talk and even flew in a team of specialists from overseas. LaToya said, “(Michael) asked doctors, 'Can I give him an operation so that I can know what his thoughts are?'" Michael eventually dropped the idea because he as afraid the surgery would be dangerous for Bubbles.
LeBron's Alleged Father Dissed By Baby Brother
Leicester Bryce Stovell who filed a $4 million defamation suit against LeBron and his mother, Gloria James, claiming that they tampered with evidence proving that he is LeBron’s dad was dissed by his own brother! Rihanna Cancels More Concerts
Rihanna has been forced to cancel three more stops on her “Last Girl On Earth Tour.” The canceled concerts are: Denver (July 15th), Atlanta (July 28th) and Indianapolis (August 3rd). Add that to previously-canceled concerts in Dallas, Phoenix and Seattle and Rihanna has nixed a total of six shows. LiveNation, who’s promoting the show, blames "changes in Rihanna's schedule." A man claiming to be LeBron James’ father has filed a $4 million LeBron and his mother, Gloria James. The alleged baby daddy is a 55-year-old Princeton-educated lawyer named Leicester Bryce Stovell. He says he had a one night stand with Gloria in 1984 and get this, she was only 15 years and he was 29.
50 Cent Attacks Diddy Over Biggie
50 Cent is back on a rampage! He’s going in on Diddy for supposedly exploiting the memory of the Notorious B.I.G. Fitty started an online petition demanding that Diddy stop using Biggie’s name to make money. The petition states: “Enough is enough; Biggie's name should never have become Diddy's Black Card. Now that he’s off the drugs, Wayne could have a career in comedy if this whole rap thing doesn’t work out! Fat Joe told MTV News, "I tell you one thing, him not being high made me realize how much funnier he is. This guy has jokes. We were up in there for four hours, just telling jokes, dying laughing, falling on the floor.”
Fat Joe also said that there’s a lot people don’t know about Wayne. “But people don't really know how much of a great father that he is, great of a person he is, a friend, a loyal dude. He's charismatic. It's just sad to see him over there like that, but I'm pretty sure he learned his lesson, and he's gonna be focused."

Suge Knight On The Run
Cops are on the hunt for one Suge Knight -- after the former Death Row kingpin skipped out on a court appearance in L.A
According to court documents, obtained by TMZ, Knight was supposed to appear in court last week for driving on a suspended license back in 2009 ... it's the latest in a string of recent legal run-ins.

Serena Says Common Didn’t Want The Responsibility
Serena Williams told Harper’s Bazaar that Common and her broke up because “he didn’t want the responsibility” of being her boyfriend. Serena said, “His schedule is actually worse than mine. He didn’t want the responsibility. It’s really tough.” And she says she felt like he was misleading the public while promoting his recent movie, "Just Wright." Because Common was speaking about Serena in the media, a lot of people assumed that they were still an item. Drake Donates 25K to Jamaican Library
Drake has donated $25,000 to help build a library and learning center in Jamaica. The project is being organized by dancehall star Mavado. Drake told Jamaica’s Weekend Star newspaper, "It's a very positive move and something I am very happy to be a part of. Education is the key to life so to be able to assist in that process is very fulfilling." The library is tentatively being called the 'Drake and Mavado Peace Center.
Romeo’s Got An Acting Job
Master P’s son Romeo Miller will co-star with Angela Basset in an upcoming comedy called “Jump the Broom.” It’s about two rival black families who clash during a weekend vacation on Martha’s Vineyard. Romeo will play “Sebastian,” a Yale University senior who falls in love with a young lady from the rival family (and how fitting since his name is ROMEO).

Bill Cosby Calls Out Black Folks

Bill Cosby, the self-appointed Daddy of all Black people, gave some tough love to the crowd at the 2010 Essence Festival. Bill dropped some jewels of wisdom and offered harsh criticism of the black community. Pop it to hear what he had to say.
Bill Cosby kept it 100 at his keynote address during the African-American Education Summit at the 2010 Essence Music Festival in New Orleans on Saturday. He publicly admonished black parents and children for failing to assume responsibility for their families and futures. Here are some highlights:
“We’ve got to lay it out for them,” Cosby said when asked about how to help cut the rate of teen pregnancies in America. “Let’s tell them about life. You’re 14 and having sex. OK. So, what kind of job do you have?”
Cosby, who received a standing ovation when he walked on stage, said the African-American community must get involved if change is going to occur in any area.
“Apathy is strangling you to death,” he said, to rousing applause and a few ‘Amens’ from the crowd.
“Get up. Stay on the scene. Be a studying machine,” he said, drawing from soul singer James Brown’s lyrics.
“We need to start getting into people’s business. We need to say, ‘Hey, I’m your cousin man, I’m your brother, I’m your sister and I don’t care if you don’t talk to me anymore but your teenage daughter ain’t got no business dressing like that!’ Tell them.”
“How long do we wait? When are you going to wake up? We can’t keep blaming people and expecting people to fix it. This has to stop.”
The moderator asked Cosby how to keep children out of harm’s way after reeling off a string of statistics, such as the thousands of young people killed by gun violence.
“Look under the mattress,” he said of hiding places for guns. “He don’t pay rent. Treat them as a child and remind them that you’re the one raising them.”
He then told the story of how a woman asked her son one day where he had been. “The boy said ‘uh, uh, no where.’ She asked him again, where he’d been. Again, he said, ‘uh, uh, no where. I ain’t doing nothing.’ She said, boy, where you been? Finally, he told her he was on the corner, hanging out.
“The woman looked at him and told him, ‘If you’re not in the picture, you can’t be framed.”

Anthony Navarro, who worked on R. Kelly’s 2007 tour, is suing Kelly for allegedly refusing to pay overtime. He claims that he routinely worked up to 80 hours a week as a “runner” for Kells, but says he was never paid time and a half overtime wages. Navarro is suing for compensatory damages for overtime hours worked.

P. Diddy’s 4th of July party was so huge that even he couldn’t get in! Authorities temporarily closed down Diddy’s "Red, White & Blue" party at Harrah's Resort in Atlantic City because it was so crowded. Diddy posted a message on Twitter saying: "The party was so crazy I couldn't even get in!!!!!!"

Dave Chappelle reportedly "freaked out" during a flight, repeatedly entering the cockpit to ask how much longer before they landed. The pilot deemed Chappelle a safety risk, made an emergency landing and kicked him off the private plane. Chappelle's rep says he was ill -- and the plane's rest room was "not the kind he needed." Don’t nobody go in there for 30 to 45 minutes!!!
